The capital of the U.A.E. Abu Dhabi translated in Arabic implies father of the gazelle a tribute to the hordes of gazelles and Arabian oryxs that once flocked the arid emirates desert. Today Abu Dhabi is amongst the world largest producers of oil and one of the richest cities in the Middle East.
Our journey begins starts with a drive past the man made port of Jebel Ali on a two hour drive to the capital city, taking in the desert landscape studded with acacia trees enroute. Our first stop is at the Woman’s Handicraft Center to watch the Bedouin women at their workshops after which we proceed to the Al Hisn Palace which belongs to the grand father of Sheikh Khalifa, the president of the United Arab Emirates.
Our route takes us along a scenic drive along the the Riviera styled Abu Dhabi Corniche past the famous Volcano Fountain and other intriguing sights of the capital known for its sky scrapers, palaces and villas. We proceed to the Breakwater Island for a lunch break at the Marina Mall.
Our tour ends with a drive past the Dhow-building yard before heading back to Dubai.

08:00 : Pick-up from Dubai to Abu Dhabi through the man-made free zone port
10:00 : Visit the Women’s handicraft workshop
10:30 : Drive to the Dhow building yard, fish market and Persian market
11:30 : Visit the scenic corniche with its volcano fountain, breakwater island, Emirates
Palace hotel, Presidential palace etc.
12:30 : Lunch in the leading hotel
13:30 : Drive back to Dubai
